Project creating of mandala
for Drubchen of Namchag Pudri

In 2011, at the request of Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche from Bhutan, who is considered an emanation of Pema Lingpa’s body. It was commissioned the design and manufacture three-dimensional Vajrakilaya mandala for Drubchen practice, following the tradition of Dudjom Tersar.

A feature of this work is that all phurba blades were carved in iron from a meteorite, retaining its original crystallographic structure. As far as we know, there is no other one in the world done in this way. Although Kilaya Tantras say that among all furious iron the meteoritic one is in the first position, it is a pretty rare and expensive material, even in the modern time.

Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche himself, reviving the existing tradition in the time of Guru Rinpoche, personally filled every phurba handles with relics of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Additionally, around the central phurba of the mandala, many relics of the Buddha Shakyamuni were introduced.

After the blessing of the central phurba, Rinpoche said that the importance and the blessings of this phurba are actually equal to those of a stupa. The complete process of creation of the mandala needed a full year. We are immensely grateful to our masters and sponsors for the invaluable opportunity to work at it.
